He would also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts. Teixeira wisely tried to take Tafa down seconds after the opening bell rang, and while the attempt failed, it allowed the Brazilian to land an elbow along the fence which set off the chain of events that led to the near-immediate stoppage.
